Pool Heaters - MultiFamily (Common Area Pools)

Receive a $1,000 rebate and save energy with a new high efficiency pool heater for your Home Owners Association common area public pool.

How to Apply

  1. Print a copy of the rebate application. (Please continue to use 2009 application)
  2. Purchase and install a qualifying product
  3. Complete the application and mail it along with a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase to:
         Southern California Gas Company

  4. Keep a copy for your records. Rebate checks are usually mailed within six weeks.

Terms and Conditions

  • You must be a resident of the City of Palm Desert to apply for this program.
  • Equipment must meet or exceed program guidelines, refer to application for complete program terms and conditions.
  • Qualified pool heater must have a minimum thermal efficiency of 84%.
  • Heater must not be greater than 400,000 Btus to qualify.
  • Must replace a pre-existing natural gas pool heater and be used for residential use.
  • Some Home Owner Associations may qualify for pool heater rebates under our Commercial rebate program, depending on their natural gas rate. (see Business, Commercial pool heater program)

Legal Stuff

Program is available until June 30, 2010 or while funding lasts. This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Gas Company under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. This program may be modified or terminated without prior notice and is provided to qualified customers on a first-come, first-served basis until program funds are no longer available. Eligibility requirements apply. Southern California Gas Company is not responsible for any goods or services selected by the customers. See list of qualified heaters
