Get a $0.75 per square foot rebate on Window Film
You can significantly reduce the amount of heat entering your home with window film. If you have single-pane glass only, you are eligible to receive a rebate for installing qualifying window film on your windows.
How to Apply
- Print a copy of the rebate application
- Purchase and install a qualifying product
- Complete the application and mail it along with a copy of the receipt or proof of purchase to:

- Keep a copy for your records. Rebate checks are usually mailed within five weeks.
Terms and Conditions
- This rebate offer is only available to residents of Palm Desert, through the Palm Desert Partnership.
- North-facing windows are not eligible.
- Film must have a minimum five-year manufacturer's warranty.
- It must also have either a solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) < 0.39 and be applied to clear, single-pane glass, or film can have an SHGC < 0.47 and visible transmittance solar heat gain coefficient (VT/SHGC) ratio > 1.3.
- If you purchased and installed the window film yourself, you must also provide:
A copy of the receipts for the materials purchased
The dimensions of each window
The specification sheet that came with the window film. Evidence that the window film meeting the requirements must be provided.
Legal Stuff
Program is available until December 31, 2008 or while funding lasts. This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by SCE under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. Program is subject to change without notice.
